The computer will grind to a halt with 100% of the cpu in use, and while I review the little window that opens with alt- check- remove, I see two or three versions of the file dumprep.exe each using 30 to 80% of the available capacity. can I safely end the process? what does it do?. |

Always my applications crash, dumprep runs. the programs take extra long to close. so i close dumprep in task manager and my crashed software closes in a couple seconds. is there a reason i should not disable dumprep?... |

Okay so my firewall continues popping up an information window that says that something called dumprep.exe is trying to communicate. i chose to block it because i dont know what it is and i think it may be a hacker trying to connect to my laptop. the firewall alert window also mentions something about an allowed parent software, what is that? immediately when that window pops up, i block it and it comes up again and again. please advice! ... |

Checking process in task manager after window closes cpu is nonetheless at 100% running like 5-6 dumprep.exe at like 15-30% each. when all that is done the laptop works fine but it takes like twenty minutes. how do i fix it so it doesnt do all that.... |
