I have Windows 7 Home, and I can't find the Updater.exe folder either. I've scaned with Kaspersky and Malwarebytes and cannot find it. I'm looking for a solution, too. Thanks for any help! |

I keep getting the "Updater.exe has stopped working" pop-up several times a day. I have scanned with SuperAntiSpyware, Avast, and Spybot and none of them find this Trojan. I made sure all of them were up-to-date before scanning. I don't have a C:\Windows\Updater.exe folder, and it's also not listed as a process in Task Manager. I am running Vista home edition. Anything else I can do? |

Here is the error, recently a notebook, (linked on a network, has administrate privlages) started showing the icon for ie as internet firefox (no addons). the program tried going into it and just enabling addons but there are no menu options or toolbars. the browser is usable, you can search but you cant change any settings what so ever. it looks like an empty browser except for the url. i tried going into the check panel and clicking internet options (not sure of that name but it was for the browsers i believe etc.) the whole section wont open up. you click on it an nothing happens. i tried re-downloading ie and it says its unable too, i also tried updating ie and it says updater exe wo... |

All i did was update my adobe reader from the task bar. i goggled adobe_updater and one site said it was malware. |

Ok s i was missing the updater.exe file for windows vista. that pretty much makes everything not work, eventually. so we got a windows xp cd. we tried to install this, replacing vista, but it said that it wasnt a real windows cd or something.which it was. we have no backup cd and it hasnt been working since a week after we got it, (it just started getting bad cause things needed to be updated) what hapened with the cd? others have this problem? we already know why its missing.we already know its too late to fix it.it was me forgeting to update curse client, which took away my updater exe, then. |

Whenever i start my laptop it runs really slow, so i open the task manager. every single time i look, in processes, theres this thing called updater.exe and it always takes at least 80% of my memory. its fine after you kill it, but its just annoying. any help?. |

I currently got starcraft 2 and after installing the game i got a message to update my drivers i currently have: nvidia geforce 9500m gs and i have trouble finding the place to download my driver update i wish they had added a updater.exe so i wouldnt have to waste my time trying to find the update! if you know where to get the driver people give me the link :d. |

My computer is 2 years old, ever since we got it weve had nothing but problems including losing my updater.exe file, the hardrive breaking, and lots of other little stuff. at one point my cord broke and at the time i didnt have enough money to buy a new cord so it sat with a dry battery for 3 months. after 3 months i finally got a cord, but when i turn my computer on, the light on the power button, the light on the lights (excluding the internet) on the front were on, but the computer screen wasnt loading up, and if you press something like caps lock the caps lock light wouldnt turn on. the co. |

Ive tried to download service pack 3 and keep getting the updater.exe error. anyway im almost ready to delete xp and go with linux. my question is this will my hp printer speakers and other stuff work with linux or will i have to get all new drivers? ive also thought of just getting an emachine from walmart that runs windwos 7. they have 2 that im trying to decide between. one has 2 gigs of memory upgradable to 4 and the other has 4 gigs upgradable to 8. are emacines any good? i make web pages and i use dreamweaver 4. i dont want any flack about the program being so old please. i cant afford t. |
