I accidentally ended winlogon.exe and my computer wouldnt let me do something for a bit, then rebooted itself and everything was back to normal. i remember the alert said if it is a operating system process (and obviously it is.) that it may make the os unstable. did me doing this cause internal damage in the long run? thank you.... |

I recently scanned my computer with spybot as well as arovax. spybot found this and reports it as a spyware: win32.autorun.tmp hkey_local_machine\client\microsoft\ windowsnt\currentversion\winlogon\taskman is where it is located arovax didnt find this at all. i have also searched around on the internet and am getting mixed signals as to whether i need to get rid of it, or just let it be since winlogon.exe is to logon to windows. any advice would greatly be appreciated, i dont want to screw up my computer from erasing anything that isnt even a threat. thank you! ... |
